Bay Dogs connects shelter dogs in the Bay Area with loving foster homes and forever families — no facility, just community.
Three simple steps. No kennels, no overhead — just dogs, fosters, and adopters working together.
We work with local shelters to identify dogs who need a little extra time, love, and transportation to find their forever home.
Trained volunteers open their homes. Dogs learn to trust, socialize, and thrive — away from the shelter environment.
Families apply, meet their match, and take home a rescued dog. We handle vetting, vet bills, and paperwork.
Bay Dogs is a California public benefit nonprofit dedicated to rescuing dogs from Bay Area shelters through foster-based adoption. We believe every dog deserves a home — not a kennel.
Founded in 2026, we partner with local shelters to pull dogs who need more time to be adopted. Our volunteer fosters provide care, our board guides governance, and our community funds vet bills and supplies.
Our mission: To rescue, foster, and rehome shelter dogs in the Bay Area with compassion, transparency, and community.
